Since graduating from DIT’s School of Hospitality Management and Tourism over 23 years ago, I have embraced the industry whole heartedly. Previously Deputy General Manager at Dromoland Castle, I have now been General Manager of Ashford Castle since May 2002. I am responsible for the day to day running of our iconic 82 bedroom castle. Continually ensuring we meet international standards of excellence I have a constant guest focus and am always seeking to find new and innovative ways to excel. I’m highly motivated and thrive on the continual challenges the business offers. I am proud to have been awarded Hospitality Manager of the Year 2013 sponsored by The Irish Times. Together with my dedicated and passionate team we provide genuine and generous Irish hospitality on a grand scale.

As a proud Kerryman, my passion for the world of hospitality grew immensely as a fifteen year old willing to work any possible summer role available in hotels throughout the picturesque town of Killarney. I completed my honours degree in Hotel Business Management and moved to London in May 2000 to put all my good theory into practice. I joined the Red Carnation team at the Montague on the Gardens in 2004 with a team entirely focused on delivering the service standards for which RCH is renowned. I returned home to Ireland in 2007 to proudly become a member of the Ashford Castle team and through an extraordinary turn of events, once again became an even prouder member of the Red Carnation family in 2013. My primary role is to support all team members within the castle, ensuring that the commitments we promise to our guests are delivered. I look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful West of Ireland and the jewel in its crown - Ashford Castle.
- Bar & Lounge Manager
My love affair with Ashford Castle begun in 2000 when I joined the team at the prestigious George V Dining Room. I am now proud to be the Manager of the Prince of Wales Cocktail Bar & The Drawing Room, providing a welcoming space for guests to relax and enjoy their favourite tipple, light bite or a pint of Guinness! Originally from The Philippines, it was not difficult for me to find Ashford as my “home away from home” because at its core it fosters good family values, ethics and the importance of working as a team. With this culture at everyone’s heart, every single guest feel at home and we strive to exceed our guests' expectations at every opportunity.
- Health & Beauty Rooms Manager
I have proudly been the manager of the health and beauty rooms for the past 10 years. I have an enormous passion and a great love for the beauty industry and it’s a great honour and a privilege to have met and treated the clients at Ashford Castle. Together with my team it is our aim to deliver 5 star quality treatments and to ensure each of our guests are ‘red carpet ready’ for any occasion.

- Director of Sales & Marketing
It has been an absolute privilege to be Director of Sales & Marketing at the legendary Ashford Castle, for over 25 years. I am proud to represent the wonderful Ashford family and since joining RCH in June 2013, two families have become one. My role is to connect our guests, clients and agents with the operational team, in a smooth and efficient manner to ensure that each guest has a truly memorable experience. Our team are warm, compassionate, caring, genuine and enthusiastic about delivering and living the Red Carnation ethos of our company “No request is too large, no detail too small”.
- Rooms Division Manager
After completing Hotel Management in DIT Cathal Brugha Street, I started in Front Office at Ashford Castle in 1997, making my way to Housekeeping and now Rooms Division Manager, with my primary role being Guest Care. The Castle, our guests and the team here make Ashford a very special place to work and I truly enjoy every day - ensuring guests’ comfort and needs are anticipated and nothing is left in doubt requires a keen attention to detail, and the warmth and friendliness of our guests make my job an absolute pleasure.
- Restaurant and Wine Program Manager
I have worked at Ashford Castle since 1987 - starting as a Chef de Rang before quickly moving through the ranks as Room Service Manager, Sommelier and now as Restaurant Manager of the George V Dining Room and Wine Program Manager. Ashford Castle has been an icon for Irish hospitality with a wonderful food and wine experience for nearly 75 years. I feel the Tollman family and Red Carnation Hotels have awoken a sleeping giant with the purchase, refurbishment and enhancement of the entire Ashford Castle Estate. Myself and the team at the George V Dining Room look forward to providing guests with even more memorable moments at Ashford Castle in the future.

Having had the pleasure of working at the castle since 2005, I have met some of the most wonderful people imaginable, which is what I really love about my job. Together with my team I aim to create memorable experiences for every guest who visits us with warmth, fine hospitality and a true ‘céad míle fáilte’. We are all very proud of the reputation that Ashford Castle has globally for excellent service and are looking forward to a bright future as part of Red Carnation Hotels.
