The Italian wines of Antinori have a long association with Ashford Castle. They first featured on our wine lists in the 70s, as our first house wine Santa Christina and Orvieto Classico Campo Grande. We were also one of the first Irish Properties to list Tignanello and Solaia. Over the years, the improvements in technology and vinification techniques has led to a great standard of wines from Antinori.
Begin your evening with a drinks reception in our secret 16th-century cellars underneath the Castle, before enjoying exceptional Tignanello wines with a delicious six-course tasting menu, created by Executive Chef Philippe Farineau and Executive Pastry Chef Paula Stakelum. The tasting will be led by Stephano Carpeneto, Cellar Director of Antinoris Super Tuscan Estate Tignanello.
Time and venue: 6.30pm for an aperitif in the wine cellar the the Connaught Room for dinner
Wine dinner price: €140 per person (open to non-residents or can be added on to an existing reservation)
