During the festive season, Galway’s continental Christmas market is a must for any visitor to the area. Now in its sixth year, a throng of activity ensues with the arrival of 50 stalls in Eyre Square, showcasing food and crafts from a number of different countries. The large German beer tent is a favourite attraction for those wishing for a taste of the Bavarian offerings, and its full schedule of live entertainment makes it one of the most enjoyable events in the winter calendar.
