A sophisticated setting, with twinkling Waterford Crystal chandeliers, bestows a grand sense of occasion. Enjoy live entertainment while our resident pianist plays softly in the background. Dishes include slow roasted rib of beef from our carving trolley served with a homemade béarnaise sauce and a red wine and shallot jus. End your evening with an array of scrumptious desserts, such as Nyangbo frozen chocolate mousse served with estate grown crabpear gel and pear and vanilla sorbet and salted chocolate crisp.

Enjoy a private wine tasting or wonderful wine dinner in the secret passageways of the castle, which were unearthed during recent renovations.
It has now been transformed and the 16th Century tunnels provide three unique private spaces with a warm and cosy ambience with soft lighting.

Throughout September, and to celebrate the Galway Oyster Festival which takes place on the last weekend of September, our month long oyster experience combines a unique tasting experience with fresh oysters from Dooncastle, accompanied by a glass of our selected complementary Champagne, stout, Arthur’s bellini or white wine.

Come and join us for a decadent Dooncastle Oysters and Champagne Lanson tasting experience.
Experience the best oysters the West of Ireland has to offer with our oyster shucking and tasting event, hosted by John Ward of Dooncastle Oysters throughout the afternoon. You will have a chance to sample some of the finest Champagne from Champagne Lanson, while Mayo band, The Molloy Brothers entertains you with traditional Irish music.
