The threat posed by climate change and the need to preserve natural resources are some of the most important issues facing us today. At Ashford Castle, we are keenly aware of our responsibility to confront these problems head-on, and have instituted a Green Team to investigate and implement the ways we can contribute to this global process.
We are committed to our community and dedicated to social responsibility. Supporting local charities, conservation, preservation, nature, heritage and green initiatives including the personal development of each member of the Red Carnation team, is at the heart of everything we do.
A Historic Restoration
Since purchasing the iconic Ashford Castle in 2013, Red Carnation Hotels have invested substantially in a meticulous restoration and enhancement programme that has restored the castle to its former glory and preserved this historic property for future generations.
The age and scale of the castle presented unique challenges for the Tollman family, architects, designers and the extensive team of local workers, who together with local suppliers delivered a level of precision that ensured every detail was taken care of in a sympathetic manner – with breathtaking results.
National Geographic: Unique Lodges of the World
We are proud that Ashford Castle are part of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World, which includes some of the planet’s most treasured places, while helping to protect them for generations to come.
They embody values of authenticity, enrichment and a dedication to preserving our planet’s diversity. The guest experience they offer invites visitors to connect with the destination in a meaningful way.
