Afternoon Tea

The long established tradition of Afternoon Tea has been wonderfully preserved at Ashford Castle since 1868 - you’ll notice the original silver tea set displayed in The Connaught Room, which was presented to Lord and Lady Ardilaun to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in 1896. Our Afternoon Tea menu offers guests a wide selection of speciality teas, delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and delectable pastries. With spectacular views from the comfort of the castle’s elegant interior, take your time to savour every delicious moment.

Inspired by the spirit of Lady Ardilaun, this Afternoon Tea invites you to savour flavours rooted in the Guinness family’s heritage and the estate they cherished. Each pastry, sandwich, and seasonal treat has been thoughtfully crafted to share a story of tradition, warmth, and hospitality.

Afternoon Tea is served 1.30pm, 2pm, 3.30pm and 4pm from Monday to Sunday.
